Etta Josephine Young Beasley, 86, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, January 15, 2016, surrounded by her loving family. She was born April 19, 1929, in Stokes County to the late Thomas Albert and Martha Green Young. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to all who knew her. Josephine was a devout Christian and a life long member of Palmyra United Methodist church. She worked for Hanes Hosiery and retired from Avon Products. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 3 brothers: Ralph, Paul and James, 1 sister: Mildred. A 1:00pm funeral service will be held Monday, January 18, 2016, at Palmyra United Methodist Church with Pastor Johnny Lord and Rev. Robert Lattimore officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Joseph Beasley, Sr. of Walnut Cove, 1 sister: Ruth Hensley of King, 3 children: Ann Heath and Teresa Tyndall both of Pfafftown, and Joseph Beasley, Jr and wife Arlene of Pinnacle, 3 grandchildren: Sean Atkins (Jennifer) of Yanceyville, Travis Tyndall (Erin) of Huntersville and Andy Tyndall of Winston Salem, 2 great grandchildren: Alyssa Atkins of Rural Hall and Ian Atkins of King, and several nieces and nephews.
