Mrs. Wilma Doris "Sweetie" Oakley, 91, passed away on Saturday, September 5, 2009 at Stokes Reynolds Hospital. She was born in Stokes County to Bert Bynum and Ida Immaline Hawkins Oakley. She was a homemaker and restuarant cashier who enjoyed feeding the birds so she could watch them. She loved and was loved by her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandson, Lloyd Howard Lawson, Jr. and brother, Harry Foil Oakley. Surviving are her daughter, Juanita "Lib" Hill; foster granddaughter, Lori Love; foster great grandchildren, Chris Love, Justin Love, and Brandon (Kelly) Love; foster great, great grandson, Landon Michael Love; sister, Edith Joyce Moore; brother, Joe Allen Oakley, Sr.; several nieces, nephews and special friends.
