Benjamin is listed in the Stokes Co. NC census in 1790 page 180 with 3 females himself and one other male over 16 and 1 male < 16 and 3 females.

In 1800 he is on page 589 with 3 M<10,1M 10-16 himself 26-45 and 1 F 10-16 and wife 26-45.

Do not find one which fits the age group in 1810.

He is dead by 1820 and his wife Jane is listed on page 377 with 2 M 10-16 1 M 16-26 2 M 16-26 and herself in the over 45.

In the 1789 census had one son, Robert (1784) and one daughter, Mary Abbott (1787)

 

Mar. 4, 1791 - B.Y., Jr. jury called him to work on road from Bull Run to Dan River

1797 - along with B.Y. Sr and Nathaniel and George to work road from Bull Run to B.Y.s to Southerlands Mill to Dan River.

 

Mar. 11, 1817 - Benjamin made administrator of brother George's estate.

May 13, 1818 - Benjamin appointed guardian to George's children: Nelly, Sally, Robert, Joshua, Jesse and Charles.
